How to use the Genesis 2000 interface to BrokerDocs.com

From the front page of ePASS, scroll down to the Vendor list on the left side of the page. Choose Document Preparation; scroll to DesertDocs/BrokerDocs, click to open. This will open the Welcome screen. The screen will show "Currently in ePASS mode" just below the Sign Up Now button.

The first time you use BrokerDocs.com, click on SIGN UP to set up your User account.

Login:

Once you do have a user login and password, you will need to log in on the BrokerDocs.com web site using your specific User Name and Password in the Login window.

A new screen will open that allows you to manage your loan files. From here you can ADD a new loan, EDIT information in an existing loan, COPY a file, or DELETE files.

Add the Imported Loan:

To ADD a new loan, click the ADD button at the top or bottom of the list.

Select Wholesaler and Program Information:

Next you will be prompted for your Wholesaler, Relationship, State and Loan Program information.

Select your Wholesaler from the dropdown list. If you do not find the Wholesaler you need, click on the NEW button to see if they are available for selection in BrokerDocs.com.

NOTE: If you do not see your Wholesaler available on the list, please contact our Sales Staff at 1-800-726-9898 and provide us with the name and any other information you have about the Wholesaler. We'd like to add them right away!

Next select your Relationship.

Select the property State.

Select the lender specific Loan Program.

Confirm your selections and click the YES button to continue.

After Confirmation, the Import Loan screen will open. Press the Populate Form button on the top Genesis toolbar.

Note: If you do not see the Populate Form button, please contact your Genesis 2000 sales representative or technical support to obtain the latest release of the Genesis 2000 software.

Click once to highlight the file you would like to import and click the Select button. You will be prompted to enter your ePASS Password.

Note: If you do not have a Genesis ePass Password, please contact your Genesis 2000 sales representative or technical support to obtain the latest release of the Genesis 2000 software and your ePass Password.

After you have entered your password, click the OK button. The Genesis 2000 file will export into BrokerDocs.com.

Once completed, you will be able to see that the information you entered into the Genesis 2000 Loan Origination Software has been successfully imported into BrokerDocs.com.

Navigating in BrokerDocs.com:

While most of the information that you typed into the Genesis 2000 LOS will be imported, certain fields will still need to be entered directly into BrokerDocs.com. You will see 18 "headers" (e.g., Main, Borrower, Seller, etc.) across the top of the screen that act as navigational tabs. You can move back and forth between these sections simply by clicking on the header. Check your input on each screen for accuracy and completeness before saving and auditing the file.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Certain fields of information do NOT carry over from Genesis 2000 into BrokerDocs.com. See the chart below for these fields and the appropriate screens in BrokerDocs.com where the information should be entered.

Be sure to check these fields:

Information Screen
Sellers Name Seller
Document Date Terms/Dates
Application Date Terms/Dates
Rescission Date Terms/Dates
Funding Date Terms/Dates
Mortgage Insurance Mtg Ins
Impound Information Impounds

Save and Audit the file:

After you have completed all of the data entry into BrokerDocs.com, click on the SAVE button in the lower right corner of the screen. The system will automatically check the file for any audit errors.
