How to Install the DataTrac Export Utility

Click here to download the DataTrac Export Utility. At the prompt,
choose Run to begin the install as soon as it has finished downloading to your computer.
The installation program will guide you through several screens. The following describes the
windows and options you will encounter:

Welcome |

This is the first screen you will see as the installation begins. It simply
recommends that you close any open programs before continuing the installation.
Click Next to continue or Cancel to stop.

Select Website |
| |
Specify which website you use for drawing your documents.
Click Next to continue, Back to return to the previous screen,
or Cancel to quit without installing the DataTrac Export Utility.

Enter Custom Code |
| |
Leave the Custom Code field blank unless you are certain that you have
one. You may provide it later, using the configuration utility that is installed
with the software.
Click Next to continue, Back to return to the previous screen, or
Cancel to exit the installation.

Aggregate Rounding |
| |
DataTrac uses a different aggregate rounding technique than the BrokerDocs.com software does, which may result in a small difference in the starting balance.
If you want to use DataTrac's rounding, check this option. If you do not want
to use DataTrac's rounding or you are unsure, leave this option unchecked. You may
change this setting later, using the configuration utility that is installed with the software.
Click Next to continue, Back to return to the previous screen,
or Cancel to quit without installing the DataTrac Export Utility.

Database Selection |

The DataTrac Export Utility must be configured to access DataTrac's database.
Select SQL Server in the Database field, and provide the server name and
login information. If you don't know this information, see your system administrator.
Click Next to continue, Back to return to the previous screen, or
Cancel to stop the installation.

Choose Destination Location |
| |
In the DataTrac Folder field, identify the location where DataTrac is installed.
The DataTrac Export Utility will not work with an invalid location, so if you are unsure,
see your system administrator.
By default, the DataTrac Export Utility will install to C:\Program Files\LOSUtils\DTExport
in the Destination Folder field. If you would like it installed in a different
location, click the Browse button.
Click Next to continue, Back to return to the previous screen, or
Cancel to quit the installation.

Start Installation |

This is the last screen before the setup program copies files onto your computer.
Click Next to continue, Back to return to the previous screen, or
Cancel to stop without installing the DataTrac Export Utility.

Installation Complete |
| |
This screen will appear once the DataTrac Export Utility has been installed. You
may now use the DataTrac Export Utility to export data from DataTrac into the
BrokerDocs.com software.
Click the Finish button to exit the install.
